3RD GRADE MUSIC
In 3rd grade students apply their musical knowledge learned to different instruments. One of the primary instruments that students use to demonstrate music literacy is the recorder. Students will study the recorder throughout the year. Students will have the opportunity to progress through the Music Karate program, and earn music belts for repertoire mastered.
What are we learning in class?
As we continue to expand on the notes of the scale, students learn songs using mi-re-do-so-la. Eventually, we will transfer knowledge of these notes to music notation as we learn what mi-re-do look like on the staff. Students will learn how to play the recorder by reading the notes on the staff.
